Phil Berry runs Sustainable Product Works, LLC. The foundation of SPW is Phil’s 25 years working to improve business performance and environmental performance. The goal of the work is to help clients create meaningful innovations, better designs for products and services, and improved supply chains.

From 1999 through 2007, Phil was Director of Footwear Sustainability at Nike.

In 2005, Phil was part of the team that earned the prestigious Gold Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA) from Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) for the “Considered Boot.”

In 2006, Business Ethics Magazine named Nike’s environmental program the “best corporate environmental program” in the United States.

In 2007, Phil was chosen by Al Gore’s “Climate Project” as one of the 1,000 people globally to be personally trained by Al Gore to deliver his climate change presentation.

Phil has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science, with emphasis in Economics and Anthropology, from Portland State University.
